Advanced Control Solutions for Home Appliances

Our control system is based on the Spartan 3E FPGA, in which the control system is implemented. Why FPGA’s? Unlike the traditional microcontrollers, with sequential processing, the FPGAs are more powerful systems which can run several algorithms in parallel mode, improving the control performance and reducing the execution time. To complement the FPGA IP Cores, a 32 bit soft-processor (LM32) is available and it is responsible for the non-time-critical tasks.
